Today was a fine day in Nozawa with firm conditions earlier on softening throughout the day. Winds were strong on the hill and the village got quite warm. Overall not a bad day to take three onsens. It is predicted to snow heavily overnight and over the next few days. The JMA forecast is for the carnage to start later on this evening.
So far we have seen only a few days of winter this season, with uncharacteristically warm temperatures and blue skies for most of December. The base has been laid down, we are now patiently waiting for the snow to start falling again to get things properly underway.
