A beautiful sunset in Nozawa to finish a day of perfect blue skies and warm temperatures. Last night saw a reasonable amount of snow fall on the Yamabiko slopes and a scattering right down to the village. The snow on the lower slopes and in the village had all but completely melted away by the end of the day.
We are expecting a few more fine days and then hopefully looking to get some snow over the weekend.
This is the ski jump which looms large over the now defunct Mukobayashi Slope. Locals welcomed the warm weather today with a lot of activity in town, preparing for the onset of the 08/09 season.
